The menu bursts with tempting options, but a few standout dishes truly set Savannah Seafood Shack apart. The Snow Crab Legs Steamin' Combo is a must-try for crab enthusiasts, offering sweet, succulent crab legs perfectly seasoned with their signature Cajun spices. If fried seafood calls your name, the Shack Attack Combo is an irresistible medley featuring fried shrimp, calamari, fish, clam strips, and scallops—each bite crispy, tender, and bursting with flavor. Fans of tacos won’t want to miss the Three Fried Shrimp Tacos, which bring a delightful crunch teamed with savory seafood sensations wrapped in warm tortillas.
Other highlights include the iconic Lowcountry Boil and Seafood Boil, served piping hot and generously seasoned—it’s seafood simplicity elevated by fresh ingredients and love for every spice blend. The hush puppies, often an overlooked side, are golden and fluffy, offering a sweet contrast to the savory bites. For a finishing touch, indulge in their tangy Key Lime Pie, a perfect balance of tartness and sweetness that rounds out your meal on a refreshing note.
Customers consistently rave about the exceptional Cajun seasoning that defines many of the dishes here. As one visitor, Francis Holzmeister, puts it, the "Cajun seasoning in the shrimp boil and the fried was outstanding," while acknowledging the reasonable prices and prompt service that make Savannah Seafood Shack a perfect choice when hunger strikes without the wait. The staff’s attentive nature and genuine care, as noted by Angela Smith and others, contribute to an inviting vibe that keeps guests coming back for more.
While the setting is more casual than fine dining—think plastic plates and a counter-order system—this adds to the charm and ensures the focus remains on the incredible seafood experience. As Tired Dad Makin’ Stuff highlights, the space is small but the food quality and friendly service make it a hidden gem in Savannah’s bustling culinary scene.
Whether you're a local or just passing through, Savannah Seafood Shack offers a memorable, mouthwatering taste of Southern seafood traditions. With great food, honest pricing, and that unbeatable Lowcountry spirit, it’s truly a seafood lover’s haven that invites you to savor every bite and relish the flavors that define coastal Georgia.
This spot was an excellent choice for quick snacks and watching people stroll by. The Cajun seasoning in the shrimp boil and the fried was outstanding! The prices were quite reasonable too! Seating and food service were prompt, so no long waits if you're feeling hungry. There are plenty of interesting places nearby that provide more waiter service, which is great if you're in the mood for something more upscale. This place offers a laid-back atmosphere and speedy meals!
Ok so this place is small and more like a diner setting so dont think this is fine dining. The low country boil and steamed clams were served in bags and the plates and utensiles were plastic. To order food you have to go up to the counter, but the food is brought to you. The people working there were very nice and considerate. The food was delicious and very reasonably priced. Having tried some of the more expensive tourist trap places I found the food here better!
Savanna Seafood Shack was a fast food not fast food tasting Seafood treat... Went with the Seafood boil , three fried fish tacos and a side of hush puppies... All was fresh and full of flavor... Addic and Carly were helpful and very attentive...
Everything was great. The only thing I'd change is the sausage. It needs to be regular slices. We didn't like the very thin slices. Not as good. Great Cajun flavor in the boil! Great friendly service!
We came in to pickup Seafood seasoning and came back to have dinner. Happy we did. Wonderful food, atmosphere and everything in between. A must stop in Savannah. Low country boil and hushpuppies absolutely delicious.
Came for the clam chowder...I was craving it and it hit the spot. We also ordered the lowboil and it was excellent. Service was great. You order at the counter, they bring your food and it's self drive drinks. Employees are attentive and kind to bring anything you need during your dinner/lunch.
The staff members are so sweet. The food is delicious. I had the Love shack seafood boil and I devoured everything. The clams and mussels tasted like they had been caught that day. And the sauce was delicious! The food is fast so you can expect to satisfy your appetite very quickly, which is very important if you’re really hungry. I had a great experience and they offer military discount!!
It’s been my must-go-to place for years. I eat there every time I come to Savannah. I’m not the expert in Cajun food, but I really love theirs. The seasoning and the prices are great, and I will also highly recommend them!
